Our Mission

We are looking for a Solutions Engineer, who is equally at home communicating with AAA clients and senior technical staff.  To join our team and help to manage our AccelByte BlackBox Product clients.

Responsibilities

As a Solutions Engineer you will work day to day onboarding and supporting clients with all of their technical needs. You will need to know the product inside out both technically and feature-wise in order to provide the best possible experience for our clients. You will need to jump into collecting clients’ needs and wants, explaining our processes and products, as well as working with them on any problems or issues they may come across. This will also involve diagnosing bugs and finding workarounds while also communicating and working directly with development engineers to bring timely fixes and feature extensions.

The work will range from frontend to backend and from CLIs to Unreal SDKs, from working with demo games to finding where something has gone wrong in our codebase and putting forward possible causes and solutions. This role suits someone with a lot of technical experience who enjoys communicating and is looking for a new and exciting next step in their career.

Qualifications Required

  • A great communicator who loves working with people as much as code
  • Comfortable working in unfamiliar technical areas across both frontend and backend
  • A problem solver who enjoys finding simple solutions to complex problems
  • Self motivated, self organised and highly driven
  • At least some knowledge of working with AWS or a similar cloud based environment
  • 3+ years of experience working in games or systems that support game development
  • 5+ years in highly technical roles in at least one major area of product development and at least one major programming language (preferably one of C++, Golang or Python)
  • Degree in Computer Science or similarly related subject or experience

Nice to haves

  • AWS Certification or solid related Cloud experience
  • Understanding of product design and user experience
  • Solid troubleshooting and debugging skills
  • Strong computer science and engineering background
  • Prior AAA game experience
  • Shipped product with Unreal Engine
  • Prior experience working with distributed teams MSc level education in related field
